It is one of 770,000 made and, as it lacks US Military acceptance marks, was one of 225,260 delivered to the Russian Empire in January 1917. This 1891 Mosin Nagant was manufactured in the United States by New England Westinghouse. The handguard does match serial numbers but it does have a lighter color compared to the stock. Both side finger grooves are rounded at the edges. The right side of the stock has some gouges found at the toe as well as adjacent to the right side finger groove. The left side of the stock has a few nicks as well as some rough handling marks. Discreet import engraving.Ĭonsidering this firearm's long history, including the number of countries this rifle has likely been in, the stock is in considerably good shape, with a light, defined grain pattern. There is an identification disk on the right side of the stock that is marked "2383". Bore is clean with no pitting and sharp rifling, but crown does not look original and may have been re-crowned at some point. Receiver finish is dark with relatively few marks. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. This 1891 Mosin Nagant is in very good condition with 94% original finish. New England Westinghouse M1891 Mosin Nagant - sn 634xxx
